Kids don't take to change well, especially big changes. It just takes some time and explaining that daddy is no longer going to be living with you (or you won't be living with daddy). Let him know that everything else is the same. You still love him as much as you ever have, and he still needs to follow the rules of the house. Now is the time to start and continue to be strict on punishment for misbehavior, though. Figure out what punishment works best for his personality (time-out, taking toys away, etc.) and stick with it. Good luck, this phase shouldn't last too long.

i agree with the time out also but if the not listening started when you left your husband it could be how he is reacting to the change. he may not understand what is happening and feels this is the best way to express his feelings about the situation

TRY A TIMEOUT. I MADE MY DAUGHTER SIT DOWN IN A CHAIR OR ON HER BED AND COUNT WITH ME TO 30. THEN AFTER WE COUNTED TO 30 IWOULD TELL HER WHY WE WERE ON TIME OUT. AFTER AWHILE SHE STARTED COUNTING ON HER OWN AND TELLING ME WHY SHE WAS ON TIMEOUT AND THEN THE BEHAVIOR MODIFIED:-)
