my daughter has justed turned 5 and is still wearing pull ups at night should she be clean by now??

my little boy still wets the bed to but dont understand it because he was dry for months then reverted back to wetting the bed? he is 4. I have a lot younger sister who is now 8 she wet the bed til 6 and a half however if she has milk before bed she will wet the bed not sure why but only happens if she drinks milk

hi christine i know it can be very worrying when u think your child is behind in something especially as like yours my daughter too has been very early with everything else. just wanted to say thank you for replying really because its eased my mind alot knowing this problem is actually pretty common you just dont think it is till you actually manage to conect with other mums who are going through the same things all i can say is thank goodness for circle of mums hope to speak soon :)

Hi Natalie, I have posted the exact same question on Circle of Mums!! My daughter is 5 next week, has been dry during the day since 18 months and is still in pull-ups at night. Rest assured you are not alone!

thank u so much for ur feedbak it makes me feel a bit better knowing she is not the only 1 i think i was just a little worried because shes always been so forward at everything else im sure ur right and she will just stop all of a sudden and the advice about keeping drinks off limits is really useful because i always tend to give her a drink for bed i will try and do bedtime without 1 from now on thanks again ladies really appreci8 it...:)

i guess ive been lucky with my eldest two now nearly 6 an 4 they were both totaly dry at nite about 3 an half but every child is different i do know a friend who daughter is nearly 6 an still has accidents ive got two younger children 2yrs an 1 yrs so they mite not b as good or worse maybe good luck huni try to keep drinks off limits an hour b4 bed time let her use toilet b4 bed an if poss wake her through the nite to go as we did then eventually she will get used to waking on her own if she needs to go

I wouldn't worry--my daughter stopped a couple of months after she turned 5, just suddenly and we thought she never would!!!
