its perfectly fine to start giving your child infant food. if you wanted you could start to mix in vegtables and fruits into her cereal. THERES NO HANDBOOK THAT SAYS YOU CAN'T START. its completely up to you as her mother. you know whats best for your child. as long as she takes it with no problem your good to go. Also it is NORMAL for your child to get diaper rash when trying out new foods. just make sure you only introduce one new food a week to watch for food allergies

i read that if you feed infant food to them before 6 months they have a higher risk of having food allergies

Yes it is to early to start giving them infant food the best time to start giving that to them it will be around 6 months. You can probably give her rice cereal in her bottle to soothe her hunger between bottles. I hope these helps you out.

talk to your ped, but i started my son on rice cereal around 3 months because he kept drooling out formula and the cereal thickened it up for him. doc said it was fine...it was his suggestion. he started other foods a little earlier than suggested as well, but when he started reaching for our food, i couldn't ignore that. he's 2 now, tall and thin with no health problems!

You arn't supposed to give solids till 6 months but I started my 1st daughter on rice cereal at 5 months and my 2nd daughter at 4 months ( only because she was bigger and showed signs of being ready) I would wait 1 more month, and start with really small amounts of rice cereal mixed with formula or breast milk. If you are finding that your baby is always hungry over the next month then add formula to your breast milk in a bottle that should hold her for a bit longer. Try not to use jar food for as long as you can as they are quite high in salt and sugar, and when you want to give real food she won't like it. It is really easy to cut up some sweet potato microwave it till it is really soft ( if you can't be bothered to boil it) and blend in a mini processor or mash and push through a sieve ( same for all other veges and fruit) and you know your baby is getting pure healthy food.
If you would like some tips and ideas for baby food message me and I will be more than happy to give you advice, ideas and recipies :)
