Tell your husband not to personalize it.. the more either of you react to it emotionally the more she will do it and the more empowered she feels..

Jennifer is right. Ask her if she would like it if you said those hurtful things to her how she would feel. Its not nice. And god don't like ugly. So I would definetly keep up the time out qnd make sure before she gets out of time out that she apologizes for what she said. Hope this helps!

well she doesn't really say it to me all that much bc i do put her in time out when she says that and when she says it to her father but he is taking it a little hard. so i don't know how to help. ;(

LOL!! That will go well into her 20's my friend!! This is totally normal behavior, even tho it isn't appropriate. Try to find a disapline that works for you and for her (time-outs, etc...) and hold on tight! :)
