she's ready. Just make sure you have a gate at the steps, and if she's like my 22 month close the bathroom door. My daughter loves to play in the toilet and bathtub.

just like you claire, i put my toddler in toddler bed at 16 months, he slept so much better, he hated the cot, the day i put him in a toddler bed he slept all the way through the night, first few nights i heard him get up..and walk around his room, i just let him be. and the next morning he in his bed snug as a bug.

My daughter has being in the toddler bed since she was 16 months old i did have a single bed with a side safty gate but she still managed to fall out in her sleep (scared me half to death) so the next day i bought her a toddler bed she still fell out ov it a few times but because its so low to the floor she didnt hurt herself. My second daughter was in her toddler bed at 16 months also she took to it better then she did her cot. Hope thats a little bit ov help Claire xxx

It is time for your daughter to sleep in a toddler bed. I don't prefer having my daughter sleep with us, she will play around too much, and know one gets any sleep. She has been sleeping in her own room since she was 3 months old and sleeping through the night. My daughter actually told us when she was ready for the toddler bed. Her crib just converted into one, so it was easy.

All my kids were 15 months when I took the side off the cot/ When they could climb, n put a mattress on the floor beside it, So it was just under it, They only fell out of bed twice. Then when they were 18months I did the same thing as Tammy except I didn't need to use a rale. N yes a toddler bed is a waste of money.

My mother bought a toddler bed for my son and he never even used it. He's turning 2 next week and he just started sleeping in the "big boy bed", which is just a regular single bed with the gate on the side. I think that if she no longer wants to sleep in her crib, she's ready for the transition into a real bed. You don't want to force her into the crib for fear of her climbing out.

Both of my daughters were put into regular single beds at 18 months. They just grew to big for the crib and I think a toddler bed is just a waste of money. We just bought a gate to put on the side and they both have done just fine.
