My younger brother did not get his first tooth until he was 16 months old. His teeth came in very rapidly after that. (Talk about teething!!!) I wouldn't be too worried just yet. My mom suffered through negative comments and was terrified she must have done something wrong during her pregnancy. She even asked a doctor if a child had ever been born without teeth! In the end, his teeth all came in just fine :)

This is good news as the later they come through the strong the teth. My daughter got her first teeth at 12 months and she got 4 all together. She seems to cut her teeth four at a time and is now onto molars. She is now 17 moths and has 12 teeth through and four more on the way. I found it easier that she has cut her teeth later as I know she is in pain with her teeth as she can tell me in her way. Also she chews on raw carrot to help her teeth come through, but it was annoying that she had her teeth so late as she stayed on baby food a lot longer than I would of liked. Don't worry the teeth are coming!

Oh India I hear you!!

My little guy got his first tooth at 15 months old. And the others didn't come in until after 18 months. He is now 21 months old and has 10 teeth, and is getting 2 more right now. It would get so annoying when people would say 'wow shouldn't he have teeth by now'. Geez like I had control over it.

Hang in there. In my experience with Caleb being older when he got his teeth, he handled it with a breeze. He wasn't grumpy or cranky or anything. Which is a big plus.
