My daughter is 4, and her friend is 5. I allow her friend to come over alot and they enjoy playing. The only problem is, this little girl WINES and says things like "noooooaa" for no and "oookkayyaaa" for ok. And just constantly wines and ends words with an ecooooing "aaaaa". NOW both my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son are picking up on it!!!!! I want them to play and have fun but now I'm trying to get all three to stop the ecoing wine. LOL. Sounds funny but if you heard it, its not cute!!!

You can't control what other people's children do but you can however try to correct this behaver with your own children. Starting with your 4 year old. What I would do is explain to your daughter that kind of wining is unacceptable and even though her friend does it you won't tolerate it from her. The two year old will be a little trickier because he is mimicking them and doesn't understand as much yet. But try explaining to your daughter that big girls don't wine and she needs to set a good example for her younger brother. Who knows maybe the friend will catch on as well. If all else fails maybe you could try imitating the wining to your daughter and maybe she'll see how annoying it sounds. Anyway good luck.
