Well done for breast feeding! I went back to work part timeat 5 1/2 months. I expressed milk for my husband to feed him. At first he didn't want to drink from the bottle so we used a "sippy cup". It had a valve so he still had to work to get the milk and it didn't spill every where. Later he started drinking from the bottle again.

As the others said, I didn't feed him from the bottle. He breast fed if I was there.

If he is drinking water and starting to eat solids, he may be able to last while you are away and then he can breast feed when you are there.

Have you tried pumping and feeding him your breast milk with a bottle? Maybe he likes the taste of your milk better. Also, like Renee said, maybe try having someone else give him his bottles sometimes so that he doesn't always associate feeding with you (and your breasts).

It helps if you have someone else offer him the bottle while you are not in the room. He might be more willing to settle for a bottle if your not there with "the good stuff". Also, maybe even let him try a sippy cup to change things up altogether.
