How is his speech? drooling is usually a sign of lack of muscle control in the mouth. try only letting him drink from a straw, feeding him lots of crunchy/chewy snacks to help strengthen the muscles. If he's having a speech problem, slurs his words doesn't have an age appropriate vocabulary you might want to see a speech pathologist.

HI,

Is he tongue tied?  Both my sisters children are and they dribble (drool) all the time.  The eldest one who is 5 in May is bad especially when he eats.  Maybe go to your doctor, I know there is an operation they can do if it's bad enough.

Hope this helps

My son is the same way, It drives me crazy.  Some poeple get grossed out by it too.  He's 21 months and I thought I would have been done with bibs by now (even though he can take them off now).  Everytime you look at him he has a drip waiting to drop from his chin, if he leans over it streams out.  It seems to be worse when he's teething. But it never seems to go away.  He doesn't have that many teeth!   I'm glad he's not the only one,  I never seen another child drool as much as he does. (and I was an infant /toddler teacher)

I know what you mean.  A friend of mine says he might h ave a muscular disorder but as far as i can see he is normal and i have even asked my GP and he says he will grow out of it.

Oh my god, so does my lad!! As he gets older it seems to improve, just when  think I can bin the bibs though, it seems to start all over again!!

It seems to happen more when he concentrates!
