I am glad that you are going to the hematologist.  I would wait to see what he says.   He will most likely repeat the test along with others to see what is going on.  Like I mentioned earlier there are several different cells that make up the WBC count.  (Leukocytes, monocytes, ect.)  The hematologist will be able to tell you what all of it means.  If you look it up on the internet it will show millions of things that it could be, dont pay attention.  It is good to look it up and write down any questions that you have and make sure to ask all the questions and get answers.    Hope this little infor helps.  Hope you get the answers you need.

Quoting Angie:

There are differnt reasons that a white blood cell count is low.  It all depends on the other parts of the count.  There are several other cells that are incorporated with the WBCs.  Diet would not have anything to due with it.  The WBCs are there in order to fight infections and deal with the immune system.  Sometimes the WBC can be low in infection.  Just wondering how low they actually are?  What did the doctor say?

Whe first time was 2 weeks after is MMR shot and it was 900. So we waited another 2 weeks so test him again and this time it was 1275. I have an appt with a hemotologist to see what he says ,
