The pull-ups website offers a free DVD for potty training. It has a lot of good info.

you basically have to wait until he is ready otherwise it will be a fight of the wills! trust me i have been there i tried everything with my first son when he was 2 1/2 and nothing worked i just got frustrated but once he turned about 3 and 1/2 he was asking me if he could use the potty! i also got this video called potty power that really helped him to see other kids going potty and the songs were real catchy and he sung them alot! i am now in that potty training boat again with my second son he just turned 3 this jan. and he has no desire so i am just waiting it out i talk to him about it and if he wants i let him sit on the potty and he watched some of the videos i have but still not really ready so i am just waiting hopefully by the time he is ready my third son will just follow him and then all the boys will be trained and i will just have my daughter left! so just relax and let him tell you when he is ready! good luck!

i have a 3 and half year old son and potty training was hard i wont lie and my daycare helped a bunch i dont know how i would have done it with out them, but i eventually got sick of trying since he was 2 i had been trying he show interest then he wouldnt show any interest and he hated pull ups so one day i went and got a bunch of underwares and just went cold turkey i talked it over with his teacher and decided the only way it wsa going to work was to take all diapers away and thats what i did about 4months ago and he has done awesome we are still workin gon the butt wiping but he gets ups and goes and he at times will have an accident at night but if i am able to have him all day or him be at school and with me where we can limit and watch his fuild intake he does fine and if he is awake he always makes its... i did try the reward thing the other mom suggested but that didnt work either.... cold turkey and telling james they didnt make his diapers any more is what worked for me and with showing him how to go i had to have my fiance, uncle, and grandpa help me with that...

the average age for boys to potty train fully is 3 and half. he may just not be ready dont force it. i got my almost 4 yr old potty trained late last year, and now slowly my 2 and a bit yr old son. i just watch for signs that they are ready andthen go from there. my oldest was a bit harder we had to bribe him to sit there with chocolate(he has a developmental delay)but he caught on and is fully potty trained now and he doesnt expect a choccie everytime lol
