My daughter is almost 3 and my son is 7 months. I went through the same thing. I started letting her do things for her brother, get his bottle help me feed him hold him by herself, little things like that helped a lot. The first month my mom would give us alone time and she got to the point that she would cry if we didn't have her brother with us. The alone time with me and her was good for both of us I missed it and now she doesn't mind having him with us everywhere we go.

I try to have my 3 year old help me "teach" my 3 month old daughter how to do everything that he can do, but she can't yet. It helps some days. I have to explain to him that we have to do things for her because she hasn't learned how to do them herself yet. He's rather analytical, though. I think that would only work if your son's the same way. If he is, I hope this helps.
