Ask doc about supplementing his meals with a pediatric drink such as pediasure. Or son had some of the Ralph's brand ones and he's up to a normal weight for his size now, some people even say he's big! He still eats pureed foods and chokes on and then vomits it up so thats why we use them. Now I'm being a bit more harsh on him though and he's only getting it before bed as his weight is fine, he needs to eat more food!

So ask your doc about that, and hope all works out!

When you weighed him, was it the same time of day, and was he completely naked? Everyone, including kids weigh different amounts throughout the day, and if he wasn't completely naked, his clothes could have made a difference. Even just a little bit of a wet diaper can make a difference. Also, if you were using a different scale, that could account for the difference. If everything was the same, or you are really concerned, call the doc. It is better to call and find out everything is ok, than to not call, and something be wrong.

its probably a good idea to talk to your doctor, is he wanting to eat and drink or is it a task to get him to eat. that's the first thing the dr will probably ask :)
