My eldest son like to play games either on my handphone or PC. I didn't taught him how to these things but he picked up this habit from his peers. He starts playing from morning until night and I have to scold him every night to stop him.

I have 4 boys so I limit it at the moment to 1/2 hour in the morning and 1/2 in the evening. If they argue or cry about it then they lose their privilege on it. I have a friend who only allows her boys to play video games on the weekend.

What it comes down to is setting up rules and following them. Who cares if they like to play them all the time, it's not up to them. Also, lock your phone and your computer so he can't just get on it whenever.

My friend had to take away her 6 year olds video game because he was having fits while playing!!! Getting mad at his game, etc...he also came UNGLUED at his sister one time when she fell over the cord & accidentally unplugged the unit!!! I'd limit that boy!!!

lock the computer, or unplug it, or put it your room and lock the door, and don't give him your phone.. if he throws a tantrum then he loses all his privileges for the rest of the day. make sure your maid knows the new rules so she can enforce them as well.

Oh boy! If he threw a tantrum even at his little brother, Do Not Give In!!!! Do not show weakness! I have two 6 yr old boys, 4 yr old boy, and a 2 yr old boy. Show No Weakness. They won't respect you and it's inappropriate for them to disrespect you and his brother. It's probably hard with working and then coming home tired and your day isn't done yet. Make your rules and don't give in. The children aren't supposed to like, but they should respect you enough to listen, eventually. Sometimes you have to repeat, repeat, repeat and it's so tiring. Don't give up it's worth it in the long run.

Quoting Melissa:

how old is he?

He just turned 5 years old. I'm a working mother and whenever I came back from work, I will find him sitting in front of the PC playing games. My maid is telling me that he had been playing from morning. There is one time I put password on the computer and he threw a tantrum at his lil brother.
