I had to leave y DD with her daddy for two nights. I went and stayed at my dad's house and came home and nursed her once, then we were done. Try not sitting/laying in positions that he is used to and change his routine a little each day until he learns no more bf'ing. And putting stuff on  your nipples doesn't help, lol. My grandma told me to use campophonic (stuff for canker sores you can get at Wal-Mart o anywhere) and it would dry up the milk. That with tight bras and ice, your milk will dry up fast!

I slowly phased it out. He would nurse during the day ones or twice and then also at night. So i took away one nursing time during the day and then the other nurseing time and then eventually at night. He was not happy in anyway shape or form but we got threw it. I would rock him to sleep or lay down with him still at nap time.Night time was a little bit more difficult but it took time and we got threw it

my  daughter breastfed till she was 3 years old and the only reason she stopped was because i got pregnant  and told her that the baby would need the milk and that was it with her...she was done and asked to have milk in a cup...i think it depends on a child too when they feel ready  to give upo the closeness they get when you nurse them....i don't know maybe try to make a story and try to slowly switch to a cup....maybe express some milk and put it in a cup...then slowly introduce the regular milk....good luck
