My toddler hasn't gone "number 2" in over a week

My daughter hasn't gone to the bathroom (poop) in over a week, we have taken her to the doctor, and he keeps telling us "shes not sick enough to do anything yet" Even though she had gotten to the point where he breathe smells from the build up in her tummy. I've tried suppositories twice already, and still nothing. I've tried coffee, because that has been known to help her go before, and that didn't do anything. Has anyone else had this same problem and what did you do to help? I don't want her to get to the point where shes so sick they need to do something crazy...shes only 4 years old.

I find with my 2 1/2 year old that cranberry or raspberry juice work wonders! Prune juice is great too-if you can get them to drink it lol. We also go for lots of walks when she's constipated as I've been told it helps get the bowels moving and it does seem to help. I hope she's feeling ok and she's goes soon! Good luck :)
