My two year old bites when he gets really excited and I really dont believe in the idea of biting back, or hitting back cause that seems to contradict what you are trying to teach. I did read somewhere some advice on biting, and I put it into use and I happy to say that he has never bit me since. The advice was, when the biting occurs, pick the child up and safely carry him/her to their room, but also beome very scary, almost mean, in their face over the top kind of screaming, that immediately shocks them, and you feel terrible doing it, but if they have never seen you like that it seems to make a difference. I know that when I finally tried everything else, and through my hands up in the air, and thought what the heck, I have to try something, it worked like a charm. I read this in a book called, "how to say no to your toddler" . Hopefully this helps and I dont sound too much like a pyshco mom.
