My two-year old is an extremely picky eater.

I've tried everything, even when I give her familiar foods, she still either barely eats or eats very little. She is even refusing vegetables which she used to love. She used to eat quite well and I try to fix well-rounded, healthy meals for her. Anyone out there with advice or recipe suggestions?

My son likes to play this game when he is being a picky eater...not sure if it will work for son is 3 yrs old... anyway I put up my hand and tell him 5 more bits, then every time he takes a bit I put down a finger. He really enjoys it and some time I can get him to finish his dinner that way. Hope it helps!! Also you could make the food in to fun characters or shapes. Try to make meal time fun!

Its okay..she will eat when she is hungry. Does she eat alot of snacks or drink a lot of milk? My daughter(2) loves milk so if I give her a cuo full with dinner, she is likely fill up on milk and not be hungry for food. My daughter loves fruit so if I give her grapes and a grilled cheese, she is good. My ped said as long as she is eating doesn't have to be a lot, then it is okay. She is probably too busy to want to eat. I've gotten tired of cooking something different for her so I'm starting to give her what we eat. She never likes it at first but if I don't pressure her to eat..she eventually takes a few bites. That's okay with me because I know she isn't starving..If she is gagging on the food and really crying because she does't like it, then I offer her fruit. Good's normal for a two year old to not eat a lot.

The only advice I can give to you is don't make anything special for him cuz then he'll expect it every meal time. My 4yr old son is extremely picky, he won't eat any veggies but I give him v-8 with the fruit in it and he doesn't seem to mind that.

I have the same problem with my 3 - 1/2 year old and he has been that way since he was 1 - 1/2. I have tried SO many ideas to no avail.
