My son is 23 1/2 months old and has been only taking one nap for a long time. Just like all the other moms have posted. He naps anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on how tired he is. He also takes his naps in the afternoons but not always immediately following lunch. (He likes to stay up and see his daddy when he comes home for lunch). Only occasionally does he take his one daily nap before lunch.

My daughter just turned 2 and use to take a 3hr nap now it only lasts about 1 1/2-2hrs. Sometimes randomly she doesn't like to nap but the next day she is so worn out she has to nap so it just depends we usually still try and get her down for one once a day at 12:00 (after lunch) and then she goes to bed at 8:00pm.(after dinner and bedtime routine)

Try a longer single nap after lunch. I work at a daycare and all the kids over one only take one nap. Most of the children are ready for one before that

With my 20 month old he takes one 1-2 hour nap after lunch. We completely cut off the morning nap because he stopped taking them. It rough the first few days, but eventually they get the hang of it. We also put him to bed no later than 7:30 (more like 7 most nights) so he wakes up around 7:30 am. I hope that helps some.
