Is this why my twins have turned into Tasmanian devils? They are 2 years and 3 months old, and have been throwing tantrums, testing limits, refusing to hold my hand, jumping on me an pulling on my hair, (they both try to tackle daddy and when they have him down, they bite him, so I guess I don't have it as bad) having fits when I don't stay with them in their room at bedtimes. This started a couple of months ago, but has gotten dramatically worse this month. So... this light at the end of the tunnel... when?

Thanks guys, so their is light and the end, i try not to give in, but sometimes it is just easier.  But i going to try all the advance that you give me, thanks again.  The people that say, it is easier to raise boys, do not know what they talking about, i found that a girl is must easier, i've got 2 and i do not have any problems with them re tantrum etc, but i'm sure i will have problems if they get to 16 years old.

oh yes tantrums lol. i've been told thats the childs way of expressing their frustration and i actually have found that since my daughter has become alot more verbal and able to express herself in words the tantrums have eased a little bit. they are hard to handle, expecially in public is when i find it the most frustrating! you just need to stay firm and make sure you dont give in when they throw a tantrum, or your teaching them that this behaviour is how to get what they want.. having said that i must admit i have been guilty of giving in at times because its just so much easier! but be strong and things will get better. boys often just take longer with these things unfortunatley.

I do hope so, my little boy, is doing the tantrim thing, and he is screaming at the top of his lungs, and throwing his toys, if he is not getting his way!! I really do not know, how to handle this anymore, i cry every night when i go to bed, for the times that i have given him a smack or 2 for doing the tantrim thing, but thanks, at least hopefully their is light at my dark tunnel

while it is terrible, it does get better...my daughter started the terrible twos before she was even two! but now at nearly 29months she is starting to calm down and be her normal settled self again thank goodness. for alot of children though it can last longer, in particular boys i think. but still it will get better :)
