18 mo is a great age to start familiarizing her with the potty, thats how old I started with my son. But she is still very young, so don't expect too much. Just constantly talk about the potty everytime you go or your anybody in the house go, just make a big fuss over it, and take her in and if she goes good, if not it's okay, don't get anrgy or impatient that will only delay it, trust me. My son finally became fully trained at 28 mos. After he turned about 2, when we were at home, I would put him in big boy panties...and if he had an accident I would, ask him to go change himself and give him a towel to clean his mess up, of course me behind him cleaning more thoroughly. And after a couple times of that he became a pro. Good luck, just be patient and consistent!

If she's taking off her diaper, immediately bring her to the potty. You KNOW that she's going to pee, so this is the perfect opportunity.

Moms, potty training takes a lot of patience and repetition! Once you decide to start training, you must take your child to the potty at least every hour. - If your child plays with the potty (within reason), allow him to! That's how he learns. Encourage your child to sit there, but don't make a big fuss over it, if he won't. All the experts I know of have said not to train until at least age two. - Each child is different, but they will eventually "get it." Make it a positive experience for the both of you!

im right there with u. my son is 22 months and i have been tryng since he was one cuz he always took his diaper off we got him in pullups about when he was 17 months he waits till the pullup goes back on to use the bathroom also he thinks its fun to play in his potty unstead of use it. he pulls them off n he goes in the bathtub but i have asked his dr about it and they told me to take him to the bathroom with me n i do he sometimes goes when i do but hardly wat i would like him to do also he said dnt push them to they will rebel and he said he has had moms push and their kids stayed in diapers till they were 4 which i was like thats not i got to were i would put my son on his potty every 30 mins and he enjoys it lol weird to say he does and that is picking up the progress so try that.
