i know a gal whose son did that. and she just said - yes, nasty. here, poopy and pee goes in this....and pulled down his older brothers old potty. She said he thought it was cool and started using it. Yeah, if he knows it's gross and doesn't want to be in it, should be easier to potty train. Just make sure stuff is available, but don't push. He'll want to do it to be a big boy. Seems like the more we push, the more they decide it's not for them. :)

Some children potty train early, you may be lucky! It is a good sign he takes his diaper off and realizez that he doesnt want to be dirty. Is he capable of staying dry for periods of time? I think it would be a good idea to try and work with him, but dont force him. He may take to it and then decide he doesnt want to use the potty anymore and thats very common. Make it fun and give him lots of incouragement. But keep in reality 2 1/2 is the ideal potty training age and so ive heard boys seem to be more complicated. Also make sure he's not going threw any big changes, teething or is sick they can effect the process. I wish you luck!

My daughter started taking her diaper off before she turned one. So when the 14 months-16months hit we started to potty train her. She was fully potty trained at 18months. For her it was a sign that she hated being wet...Every baby is different but it definitly wouldn't hurt to try and start potty training (: Like the other ladies said earlier, if he doesn't get it, then it's ok.

I don't think it hurts to put him on the potty, but I wouldn't expect to train him at that age. He's more than likely taking off his diaper because he's figured out he can, not because he wants to use the potty. But it certainly doesn't hurt to buy a small potty and start making him sit on it for a few minutes when he takes his diaper off.

My son also takes his diaper off and jus turned 15 mos last week. We introduced him to the potty and he loves sitting on it and has even used it a couple times.. We dont get mad if he does go in the floor or anything. I think its to early to be serious about it.. If he does go give him a treat or something special but if not maybe next time

It wouldn't hurt to introduce the potty, just don't push the issue. If you bring it out and he refuses to sit on it, then he may not be quite ready yet.
