try mashed avocado with mashed banana together. My son is extremely fussy but loved this.

At 14 months your child should be eating pretty much all the things the rest of the family eats. Just because he has displayed a distaste for a food ..do not stop offering it on his plate. It can take up to 20 times for a child to develop an appetite for some foods. If you eliminate it..he never will and then you truly will have a picky eater.

My son was the same way, but like Louise mentioned they get bored and like to eat off of your plate, he is now two, i serve one plate for me and him we get two spoons and eat, once he gets restless and wants to run around i clean up and get snacks out, for me its oranges and apples and bananas...since your baby is younger maybe baby puffs or baby cookies, and let them eat while they play. I couldn't get my son to eat for a while when he was younger her became anemic, just keep trying new things and you will find what works for you

Yoghurt is a good source of calcium and is often a favourite. Also mashed potatoes with cheese. Really you want foods to build muscle not fat so that means things like chicken and fish and minced beef. At 14 months he is not probably eatting for himself so let him hold a spoon and you distract him and put a spoon in his mouth at the same time. Many children just get bored at meal times so try and make it a fun time, also children like to eat with you rather than on there own. My second son would eat more off my plate than his own.
