I agree about the accident learning, he probably hasn't realized just how gross it is to make a crappy patty in his pants. You can try to take him with you to the potty, let him know this is were we go potty, say Mommy's a big girl this is were big people go potty. My 2yr. old girl is done, 2 wks. and done. My 2 yr. boy is not doing so well, but the way I got him on the potty was just to be really enthusiastic about it. When ever his big sissy was going potty, I'd tell him, and remind him she is a big girl goin potty on the potty. With all of them I came with a pee pee on the potty song that helped a lot and makes the potty scene more exciting. All in all just encourage him, and let him no its okay and a good thing. Another thing to try to get him started would be letting him wiz out side, they like that! At least my little man does. Good luck!

Kirsty I have a 3 1/2 year old that is at the tail end of potty training. He just moved to the pre school class in February and was the oldest one in nursery. He flat out refused to potty train. Here is what I did...I bribed him. I went to the dollar store and bought a load of cheap gifts and I wrapped each one up individually and put them behind the toilet. For two days straight everytime he went I gave him a small gift. Take off the pull ups and either put him in undies or let him run around naked. We bought him a potty but he liked the regular toilet better with a seat. Obviously we couldn't keep up withthe gift giving but I sent him to school with big boy undies and I made him a pin for his shirt that said "Big boy potty training" which was a great reminder for his teachers to keep sending him to the potty. He had accidents and he still does but they are few and far between. We took him to LegoLand about 3 weeks back to celebrate the tail end of this long journey. Some kids just take longer....its the mommies with the extra patience that get those kids...I am convinced.

Pull-ups? hmmm.... might have to go cold turkey on the pull-ups. Thats what I've heard - kids just treat them like diapers. He might have to learn by having accidents.
