OK, ever since I found out I was preg with my 2 1/2y/o I swore I would not use pullups to potty train. So I did the method where u let the toddler run naked and they learn what to do. It worked wonders!! Naked he pees and poops in the potty at home no problems. I havn't bought undies for him yet because he is so tiny I have not see any small enough to fit him. I figured now that he was pretty much trained I would put a diaper on him and he would just take it off when he had to go. Well not the case. He sometimes would take it off and did in the very beginning. But now he is less and less. So I broke down and bought pull ups, telling him they were his "big boy pants". My thinking was it was easier to take them up and down and maybe he wouldn't think of them like diapers alas' he wouldn't go in them. Not so much. He does the same thing. Sometimes pulls them down to go, but most of the time goes in them. Has anyone had this problem? Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?? Thanks.

My son is the same way i let him run around with no diaper and he goes to the potty whenever he needs to pee haven't really master poo yet but yesterday he thought it would be better to pee all over our couch and on the floor and i thought that we weren't doing bad till then we were thinking about the pull ups but haven't tryed them yet i don't know if he would get it since he isn't talking a whole lot yet

I'm having similar problems with my 2 year old son, he wears a nappy, i let him run around without it when we're in the house and for a while he would go straight to his potty, but now he seems to think its great fun to pee all over the furniture and the carpet. I have a 1 year old daughter and am pregnant with my third child, not sure if he's just picking up on big changes or something, but he will go in his nappy or on the floor/couch. im very interested to see what advice gets posted, and its encouraging to know im not the only mum struggling with this :)
