Hi my son will be 18 months old this month and he is still sleeping in his crib and I was wondering when did you have your toddler sleep with pillows. He is sleeping on top of his covers right now and he is using them as a pillow. I am looking at converting his crib to the next step which is the day bed and I was wondering if I should introduce the pillow the sametime as I move him to the day bed. Please help.

My children would always still my pillow when they were a few months old. Once they did that we got them their own "childrens pillow" Bed Bath & Beyond carry some good ones.

I think that'd be a fine time to introduce it. I'd make sure it's a flatter pillow of course. My 22 month old has been using a pillow for a while now. Before that, she'd always move to put her head on my pillow when she'd sleep in our bed... she loves them, lol.

It won't hurt to give him one, either way
