Does anyone know about any interactive class or parks that i can take my 18 month old to and one that won't cost me an arm and a leg? I don't know other moms where i am to set up play dates and such so i want to know about some alternatives because she is not exposed to other kids really just grown ups. Any suggestions?

I agree to start with the library. Programs there will be free. I also take my daughter to Kids Music Round which is a great program. Also just get outside and look for playgrounds. My daughter enjoys finding other kids her age at the playground and they usually quickly make friends. Sometimes malls will have an indoor play area if the weather's not good. My daughter also gets a lot of social interaction with kids of varying ages going to church if that's something you're interested in. Even if you don't want to attend church, a lot of churches will have community events that anyone is welcome to - mine has a Halloween parade and movie nights.

One of the best places I would suggest is your local public library - they should have activities for various ages, etc. In our city there are art groups, music programs, children's museums, summer festivals, splash pads, the YMCA, etc. My son has been a music program called Music Together since he was 5 months old - he loves it and the interaction for me has been great too. I would start with your library and go from there :-)
