This might sound stupid... But I am just wondering.. Just recently my 2 1/2 yr old daughter all of a sudden rubs her eye often. I don't know if it's normal.. she does it also just before bedtime which I think is just cause she's tired.. anyone else experience this??

Just a thought, but if she's doing it at any time throughout the day, you might want to check on a couple things. Do her eyes look puffy or a bit pink? Do you have a pet (I have a lab retriever and sometimes it's tough to spot a tiny piece of dog hair). Is there ever the slightest bit of stuff coming out of the eyes? Is her hair falling in her eyes? If you wash her face with a wet facecloth, does she stop? The puffiness or leaking of the eyes might indicate a good time to get her looked at. Even if it turns out to be something small like just alergies, I know I feel better when the doctors say it's nothing.. My doctor has always enforced the "follow you gut" thing. Doctors can see things regarding eyes that you and I can't see with a naked eye.. I would say if lasts a couple days to get her looked at. I would rather receive one of the sterotypical responses of "it's nothing" then have her eyes still irritated. Just a thought... I don't mean to worry you...

Besides the allergies which is a possibility....
she just might be tired. Mine does it all the time, so we know it's time for bed...that is if he's doing it before it's bedtime.

My son will rub his eyes when he is tired. Your daughter may have allergies. I have had my son son on generic Claritan for several weeks. It has helped him.
