My little man has started climbing out of his crib, he is very fast and quiet about it. I have yet to catch him in the act! But he is really busy so the confinement of the crib was nice to slow him down. He thinks the bed is fun. Please help me!! I am open to all suggestions.

You need to be firm with him, he has to learn that bedtime is not play time, try not to react when he plays up just tell him no it's bedtime and then walk out and turn off the light and shut the door, if he gets up and comes out to you don't talk to him just grab his hand and take him back to bed tuck him and turn off the light and close the door a walk out, everytime he does this keep taking him back without saying anything eventually he will see that his not going to win and his not going to get any reaction out of you, it is so hard (I remember putting my son back to bed 17 times in one night, I want to kill him lol) but just keep going cause your stronger then him and he'll break before you do. Alternatively you could get one of those saftey gates that goes on his door so he can get up as much as he likes but he can't get out of his room, good luck and hang in there, also check out super nannies website she has some good ideas for bedtime terrors :)

make it into a toddler bed with the side protection stands make it get his attention so hell like it and sleep in it like one of his favorite Characters it worked for me

My daughter was a very squirmy child in the crib too. We switched her to a toddler bed in August, she is now 21.5 months and sleeps MUCH BETTER in a toddler bed. She gets a better night's sleep and doesn't squirm nearly as much. Now that she's a little taller too she can get out of bed and come get us when she has to go potty!

Take all of the toys out of his room during the transition time. You have to make sure he knows that its time to sleep and not play. We have stairs in our house so we used a child lock on the door to keep the kids in the rooms. Once they didn't test us on the door boundary then the lock came off the door. Our son never needed the lock but our girls did.

Welcome to my world ! :)

Does the crib have one side that comes off ?
Ours turned into a little bed.

U can just take the mattress out & put it on the floor until u get a big boy bed.

I know I was so sad when our son started getting out of his crib.

Whenever u do put him in a big boy bed u can buy side rails to put up near his head. But he can get up & out down by the foot of the bed. (if u are worried about him rolling out of bed, bc he will)
