Is he teething? My 14 month old daughter had no problems with her front teeth but her back teeth (molars) made her a crying/whining mess.I would try giving him some pain reliever like tylenol and ice chips/popsicle. Or have you changed his diet at all? Introduced him to something new? Like broccoli? It could be gas that's causing him pain. Switched from formula to whole milk? Could be lactose intolerant.Try giving him some gas medicine then put him down for his usual nap. See if that changes anything and if he's better in the afternoon. If that's the problem, then inform his doctor and they'll advise you on what to give him instead of milk. Good luck!

Change his surroundings. Give him something new to play with, take him out somewhere he's never been. When we've tried everything and my son is still crying, it seems to be because he's bored. As soon as we change his scenery or give him something interesting to do, he cheers right up.
