I have a 3 year old son, he still has bottles, has one before sleep and still wakes up for them? Do i go cold turkey ? how do I take his (comforter ) away from him?

Thankyou mums for replying. I explained to my son that soon we would have to say goodbye to the bottles. He went to sleep with it that night - woke up first thing in the morning and ok me say bye bottles!! I was so surprised... He now has a drink of milk in his sippy cup before bed and goes to sleep.
Thankyou ladies x

Developmental your kid should almost be dinking from a regular cup with no lids. My 2 year old is between a siipy cup (basic Walmart brand) and drinking from a regular cup. He prefers to use the regular cups like me and my fiance do. Once they stop taking formula, regular milk should go into a leak proof sippy cup. Just transfer immediately and keep your cool.

Hi i wouldnt say cold turkey per say. Move him to a sipper Nuby ones are great no spill soft teat still though. Then move onto a lid called KALA'S magic spouts you may need to get them imported though. These are fantastic though as they are spill proof almost to a fault with no messy valves to clean, you simply blow water through them to clean the one way valve. They also fit 90% of all shop bought water bottles making cheaper then alot of sipper cups. Is he having milk in his bottles??If he is i wouldnt worry that much, my little girl is 4 and still has milk at night using a pop top bottle and one of those spouts. If he is waking for a bottle try giving him a spill proof style with water, at 3 he doesnt need it for growth its more of a comfort or thirst thing. My little girl takes a water bottle to bed every night. What you will need to watch is his teeth, get him brushing them at least once a day. good luck
