I have a 2 year old that loves to spit his juice out on the floor and on his toys. I usually yell at him and put him in time out but it doesn't seem to work. I've had people tell me its behavioral issues, but I just want to know how to stop it. If someone can help, I'd be more than appreciative.

What may help is only allowing him to drink the juice at the table. He might be drinking it just because he has it and not really because he wants it. Then if he still spits the juice out at the table the juice is taken away and there is no more juice for the day only milk or water. I would also maybe decrease the amount of juice you put in the sippy cup.

By 2 he's old enought to associate behavior and consequencs. He spits juice, then it goes away and he doesn't get any more for the day. He'll soon learn that spitting means he loses the juice.

My son was doing that but just on his toys, so everytime he spit on a toy I would put him in time out and I also toke the toy away. I think I toke about 20 toys aways before he got the hint then he stopped!! He only spits water out when he is taking a bath but thats fine with me!! I hope it helps alittle, I know that every child is different!!
