don't bother!! My daughter started taking her nappy off at 21mths, so we started potty training but took almost a year of relapses before she was totally trained, and was a nightmare!! My son is 23mths and showing no interest so i will leave as long as possible this time- most of my friends who left it until 2 1/2 only took a couple of weeks - especially the girls, so wait, wait, wait - there is no rush to face all that washing!!

the time to start is when she is ready. I tried starting potty training my son when he was 18mths, he is almost 3yrs now and in the last month has just started to show an interest in it. I went to numerous websites and the main thing they said was when your child is ready they will show an interest.

The main piece advice I can give from experience...don't force her...my son & I had quite a few battles trying to get him to go (and he always won). This frustrated me and I have a stron suspicion that it delayed things a bit as well.
