What worked best for us was to just ask her every so often "do you need to go potty?" and if she said yes, go sit her down on her potty and wait with her. it was sort of hard to get her to sit there for a while, so we would read books while she was there. but really, she basically just said one day "mommy, i need to go potty" and just went and that was that.

My daughter was 18 months old when I potty trained her. I dont even think I did anything special. I just bought her a potty and her BIG GIRL panties and once she used it for the first time that was it. I think we had about one week of accidents and now nothing. Its only been a little over 2 months but she tells me when she has to use the bathroom, even when we are out  at stores or something. I'm really thankful that it was so easy for us to potty train her, especially since my son is only 14 months younger than her. It was kind of expensive buying diapers for two. I just hope that when its time for him to get trained its as easy.

What worked with both my girls was taking them to the store and having them pick out underwear... and buying bulk because accidents happen...

Then, bribery is the best... They would get one "chocolat chip" for every pee and 2 for a poo! I'm not talking a cookie, just a plain old chocolat chip... I had my first potty train at 18 months within a day (not kidding) and the second within a few weeks!!!

We tried when my daughter was two, and she wasn't ready! It will only work if they are ready unfortunately:( With my daughter about two weeks before she turned 3 she was ready! and stickers on a potty chart worked great!! Getting her a little prize after she achieved dryness on a whole chart was so good for her!
