Have you tried setting a timer? I know that a timer has helped with my first three kids, and I am currently working on my 4th. It is a tough struggle. I have the same issue currently with my son. Just patience, it will happen eventually.

I have a daughter, but have friends that have tried the cherrio thing with their boys. Try it!

I started with my daughter in June-- and it was such a stuggle-- I remember sitting on the floor with her and both of us crying cause she just wouldn't do it..... so I gave up. In August one day we were at the park and she said she wanted to go-- I took her diaper off and we didn't go back from then on. You may just want to wait it out. In August a sticker chart was really fun for her too. There weren't any crying fits about it this time. Now we have bad days sometimes-- she's just too busy to sit down and go, but we'll make it eventually!

Don't worry my son was exactly like that. When they are ready they will let you know. Another that I was told was to put cheerios in the toilet and make it a game. Tell your son that he has to try to get in the circle of the cheerio!! My son loved it!!
