My nearly 3 and a half year old has just changed rooms at childcare plus we're about to sell our house, so she's having to deal with a bit of change at the moment .... and her toilet habits have gone downhill fast. She was basically potty trained and now she's having so many accidents, we really don't know what to do.

My theory is she's either having trouble dealing with all the change or its a way she can get some more attention. Any and all advice greatfully appreciated!!

Thanks Danielle. Over the last few days, both my husband and I have been spending a lot more quality one on one time with her and she's improving. At the moment, she's alternating between potty and toilet & every time she goes successfully we're making a big deal about how well she's doing. I think we're going to need to buy some books about moving house so she understands whats going on, plus I think she's starting to settle in to the new room at childcare now.

I would say she's having trouble dealing with the change. We haven't started potty training yet (our son is 16m), but what I've read and heard is that you don't want to start during stressful times (which would be the moving and room change)-and they can also regress during stressful times. I would nicely re-inforce the potty...Try a "Potty Party", that's probably how we are going to potty train. Good Luck!
