How can i encourage my son to start potty training as all he does at the moment is put the potty on his head or use it as a stool to get what he wants!!!

I've heard that if you put cherios in the potty for him to aim at that boys love the game. I'm sure it's worth a try.

I'd let my son run around naked for a few hours everyday and take him to the bathroom every hour or so. But instead of using the toilet or potty chair, we started by letting our him pee in the shower. The whole thing was getting him used to the sensation. Peeing in the shower was fun for him and I'd just rinse away the pee when he was finished. After a few weeks, he easily switched to the toilet. Pooping was a whole other deal, but a chance to pull a toy for the "surprise bag" help encourage him to sit and go.

My son will turn 2 in June and we bought him a potty chair that plays music whenever he pees in it. He loves it! We also reward him with M&Ms after he goes to the potty.

My little boy will turn 2 in June but still isn't potty training however I am not pushing him into it, all babies different and will do it in their own time and Nicola! Cole is younger than Sam so don't worry .... Boys lazier than girls by all accounts?! xxx

I took my son to the bathroom with his potty and told him to pee in it. After he finished i rewarded him with a spiderman sticker to put on his potty. So every time he goes to the potty himself he gets a sticker! He is very eager to use the potty now, but it is still tough to get him to tell me when he wants to GO!!!

My husband actually helped with this one, he took him in the garden and showed him how daddy takes a peepee, then moved onto the bathroom where his potty stood, and the rest is history - well he even does the "shake" thing, which is really cute!

We had no luck with our boy with a potty chair.  I bought a seat that fits on top op the big toilet so he could sit on the "Big boy potty."  That worked!
