i need any help on potty training my 3 year old daughter. She know when she goes in pullup she says i tee tee. I been taking her to potty every 30 min, and seems like after i take her she goes in the pull up. Could she be lazy or maybe alittle slow, or do i need to keep her potty longer.

This is an old post that for some reason has gone back to the top, the child in question is probably potty trained now so I am going to lock it to further comments, thanks for all your input everyone.

Hi there, my daughter just turned 2 Feb 27th, and she was doing the exact same thing, then just a few weeks later (9 days ago to be exact) she just woke up and wanted to wear her big girl undies and started using the potty like nothin!!! I rewarded her at first with a hershey kiss, but that only lasted a day and a half_ She was going to much so in return she was gettin way to much candy :) We are going very frequently but it is so worth it!! :) Just be patient and before you know it she will be there! I was tryin like 2-3 times a week just puttin udies on her and then after a few accidents just letting her wear her diaper and she seemed to of caught on :) Best of luck! Maybe try letting her pick some new underwear at the store as an encentive,

Hi Sarah,
I never used pull ups i just used nickers and had the potty out where ever my daughter was playing. I would also get her to sit ever 45 mins to see if she could go. She would often run around at home with nothing on and she seemed to get it quicker. But every child is different so hang in there and give lots of hoorays when she does go also don't go from pants to pull up and back you need to deside as she may get confused.
Good luck :)

I put my daughter in a pretty dress with no diaper or pull up on, and told her that if she got it dirty she couldn't wear it anymore, so make sure she tells Mommy and Daddy when she needs to go. She did, within a few minutes, so we went and sat on the potty. Ended up sitting there for about 45 minutes, reading stories, etc. but she eventually went, and I got her a pair of big girl panties to put on. She'd had them in her drawer for a while and wanted to wear them, but I told her that she could when she used the potty. She had one accident that day, and one the next day, and both of those days I made her put her panties in the garbage, and she has had completely dry days since then. She doesn't want to throw away her panties, and she knows that if she soils them they'll go in the garbage, and she won't be able to wear them.
I think if you try to reinforce the positive rather than the negative, it might help. For example, you CAN wear your panties when you pee on the potty, not you CAN'T wear them unless you do.

Hi Sarah

What I did with my girl was I use to put her on the potty every 30 min and waited untill she had did her thing.  I also use to put the pull ups on for her but also found that she would go in the pull up.  I stoped using the pull up after the first week and put on panties for her.  You will have to keep a close eye on her for when she starts to go and then rush to the potty with her.

We always mad a big fuss when she did her thing in the potty.

It might take a while for her to do anything on the potty when you put her on the potty so take one of her favoroute books with you to where her potty is and make it fun for her.

Good luck :)
