Potty Training Prince

I just started potty training my son officially. He has been telling me he's poopy for a while, and I have let him sit on the potty (only to pass gas, but that was a start!).

Friday morning he peed on the big potty so I got him a training potty! He has been peeing, and telling me when he has to go (but sometimes he doesn't still). But he NEVER tells me he's pooping or that he has a dirty diaper. It seems like he is going backwards in the poop area.

Any Suggestions? I don't feel I am pushing him and I totally play up the excitement when he goes on the potty...Maybe I should just ride it out and see?

This is something I just kept putting off, but am getting ready to start training my second son.  The best way is get rid of the diapers.  Put him big boy underwear and let him go.  After a couple of messes he'll begin to realize it's better to go in the potty.  After just one week he was going in the potty, he never went in his pants again.  I did have him wear pullups at night for awhile.  Good luck!
