my 19 moth old just started running into the other room and into the corner just to poop. Does that mean he is ready to potty train?

no it means he is learning shame..and aware that he is doing something that should be private.

there are several posts on the signs you should look for to know if you should start training

-staying dry for a few hours at a time

-can pull own pants down

-shows interest in the potty

when you have 2 or more of these are probably good to start but know that it isn't up to YOU when the child is is up to them..learned this the hard way...they do it when THEY want.

This means that she knows the sensation of needing to poop which she will need when you do toilet train her. You need to wait until she is wanting a dirty nappy changed as she does not like being dirty, or long periods of time with a dry nappy, or trying to remove the nappy. Let her come to the toilet with you and is she shows interest then maybe introduce the toilet seat. Another thing is can your daughter communicate with you that she needs to go to the toilet. Has her vocabulary moved on to be able to say "mummy wee wee" because if she can't it is unfair to start her on the toilet. I think your daughter is half way there but 19 months is very early to toilet train. Most 2 year olds can only just control there bladder as bowel sensation comes alot earlier. Wait to see if she has any other signs, then go for it!
