Refusing to swallow food and ultimately vomitting everything...

I have an 18 month old daughter that has recently started pouching her food and refusing to swallow. When my husband and I try to persuade her to swallow, she gets upset and starts crying. The last two days she has cried so much that she has vomitted what little she has swallowed and the last meal of food as well. Has anyone else experienced this? Have an ideas why she's vomitting? I'm not sure if she has a stomach bug or just going through a phase. Any help would be appreciated.

That is weird, if she eats at other times but not mealtime. Hmmmmm....odd little thing....

She is acting fine other than at meal time. She is drinking and snacking just fine and has no sores. I plan to call the doctor tomorrow but thought maybe other moms might have gone through this before and have some ideas.

Thanks for the advice!

Does she have a sore throat? Maybe she does have a tummy bug. Poor little darling! Check her mouth, too. Does she have sores or white patches in there? She might have a virus or thrush. Does she drink fluids? Try cold liquids, and if she won't go for that, try warm. After you have found some of these things out, it might warrant a call to the doctor. Good luck and give her lots of TLC.
