Hey, i was wondering if anyone knew anything about restraining orders. my oldest daughters father was abusive when we were together. weve been broken up for almost 2 years now. hes got this "my way or the high way" attitude. he took her on thursday and today he wanted to drop her off so he could go out and do whatever.. he told me he was going to pick her up again in the morning but i said no because she'd be at the babysitters because i have to work. well he showed up at my house, barged in like he owened the place and started yelling and threatening me. my one year old was sleeping, and our daughter was in his car, i told him to bring our daughter in and to get the hell out of my house before i called the cops. he brought her in.. through all her stuff on the ground outside and left. i want to know if its possable to put a restrainging order on him. i am afraid for my girls.

Document EVERYTHING! You will have to cite multiple specific events (prefferably with witnesses) when/if you file for a restraining order. Be prepared, though... they don't always accept them. But, even if it gets denied, it will still be on record that you are afraid for your children and you can keep documenting and try again. I would also go to the courts to modify the custody arrangement so that all of his visitations would be supervised.

If your afraid for your daughters, then I would suggest seeking full custody of them and allowing him with visitation rights. If your scared for your own safety then I would get a restraining order against him from seeing you. Or do both.
