Self Discovery!

My 15month old daughter has recently discovered her "self" About a month ago I walked in the room and saw her digging in her diaper. I immediately became uncomfortable with what she was doing and put her attention elsewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone else ever been through this? I am pretty sure it is normal just need to talk about it.

Yes, it is a very natural thing. I just talked to the ped about this today for my son. (He has started humping things!) My daughter went through a year long phase of excessive touching, which has started to subside. The ped said just distract them. do not shame them. My daughter didn't seem to do anything in public, just at home.

it is very normal so please don't worry about it you did the right thing by just distracting her. if she does it again when she is older when her speech is more developed you can explain to her it's not something wich she should do in public only in the privacy of her own room. but this is a discovery most children will make at some point.
