My 2 1/2 year old fell asleep in his carseat (his head was tipped forward). When I got him home and took him out of his seat everything was fine but when I got him into the house I noticed his whole face was covered in blood. It was pouring out his nose and his mouth was full of blood. He didn't hit his nose or mouth on my shoulder or anything. What could this be? Why did my son start bleeding so heavily? I finally got the bleeding to stop after about 30 mins but about an hr later it started bleeding again and continued to stop and start back up again for a few hours. If anyone can help me figure this out or give me some advice I would truly appreciate it. Thanks!

I agree with Jennifer.. Take him to see a Dr right away. Better to be safe than sorry, as they say.

i would take him to the doctor right away.... if it is heavy bleeding he could have hit his head or something when you didnt know and might not have reacted to it...my 2 year old runs into stuff sometimes and just keeps going even though i know it hurts... good luck!
