should a 3yr olds legs be smooth and shiney??

my son is 3yrs old and just a few mins ago i was getting him ready for his bath and i was looking at his legs and thay look and feel really smooth and thay look really shiny. and thay do not look like thay normal do. i had never seen them look shiny like thay do now

Not everyone's skin is the same, and a baby's and toddler's skin are even more volatile. You could have very dry air in your house, or the soap is not moisturizing, or the water's a bit too warm, or you have hard water.

huh. i know i gave him a bath he got out and thay looked normal agine. but he had a bath yesterday also

Dehydration. The skin on my shins sort of get really shiny when I haven't had a moisturizing soak in the tub for a week. The skin's glazing over from lack of humidity.

He has hair on his legs. but thay just feel really smooth and look very shiny. kinda like if thay was swollen or something. it has nothing to do with weather he has hair or not

baby's go through alot of changes...

and as a matter of fact my son's legs look like he should be like 10 and he's only 4. Keep and eye on your child if it becomes too much of a concern let your child's doctor know
