Shrieking/ screaming..

I have a 23 month old boy, he's very active and takes a 30 minute nap every day, getting up at 5 am and not getting to bed until 10:30- 11:00 at night is wearing me thin already, being an army wife. My problem is my son shrieks, like high pitch want to cover your ears and cringe, I've tried almost everything I have been suggested and then some non-conventional tactics of my own. It only seems to get worse, he mostly does it randomly but occasionally he does it out of anger after being told "no" and being punished. My head is killing me and my ears are constantly ringing, my husband asks why I'm so irritable after he gets off duty, I just want to yell at him "I wonder why!" I am to the point of looking around for parenting classes that include the child so I can demonstrate what causes my son to do this and figure out how to curtail it or make it cease completely. We try to ignore it and when he's around my family his aunts jokingly call it "Taelor turrets" because he is so random. I am in almost desperation mode here, in the mean time desperately seeking ear plugs..

I think he really needs more sleep. Get the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Dr. Weisbluth. It's a livesaver!
