sippy cup problems

My daughter is 1 and she wont drink out of a sippy cup...the only way she will drink anything is out of her bottle or out of my or my husband's cup. How can i get her to drink out of her cup with the lid on it?

i had my son drinking from a sippy cup at 12 months....the first time a tried a sippy he didnt like it..he would throw it..i think because the mouth piece is a different shape than a bottle and its a hard plastic piece...then i found a nubby sippy cup that he loves...the mouth piece is in the shape of a sippy spout but its a firm silicone..a closer texture to a nipple...after one try with these sippys my son never went back to a can try these if you want to start a better transition to a cup...there are a "NUBY" sippy cup and you can find them at babies-r-us....they come in a 2-pack for $5-6 ....they worked for my son with no problems..give them a shot....good luck

Keep trying. I would try sippy cups with straws, sports type bottles, and sippy cups with soft silicone spouts. My son transitioned well with the Nuby brand sippy cups. Test them out and she what she likes better.

Dont give up my little girl was the same way. She would drink out of a cup and spill water everywhere. We just kept giving her the sippy cup and she started using it. She was almost 15 months when she started using the sippy. Now she doesn't care about her bottle. Good luck.
