so jacob is 18 months now, and STILL not sleeping through the night. Well, he has his moments....let me explain. I breastfeed him. For the first month, he slept in a bassinet....but at month 2....I was just exhausted of getting up...so he started sleeping with me since he was 2 months old. He was waking up every hr to eat till about 7 months old....then started waking up only every 4 maybe 5 hrs. However, the past month, he has just been waking up every hr like he was a baby. We have tried putting him in his crib, but still, he wakes up every 3 hrs to eat.... He only takes 1 nap a day....which is 2 hrs...I dont know what to do....if im the only one in this situation?? Can anyone give me some advice??? Please???

is he sleeping in his own room? what time does he eat dinner? what does he eat for dinner? depending on what he eats for dinner it may not be enough to keep him satisfied thru the night as compared to how often he eats during the day. how often do you nurse during the day? he may have associated nursing as his comfort blanket since you let him sleep with you for an extended period of time. have you tried letting him cry for a bit before you go to him at night? or tried to just rock him or hold him without nursing? he may just be having bad dreams and getting scared and the nursing is comforting him. have you tried putting a night light in his room? hope some of these ideas help or give some help in getting him to sleep thru the night again.
