My daughter has always had a fleecy blanket that she has had from birth that helped her sleep. You have to rub it around your body to get your scent on it and let her snuggle into it. Normally if a child can smell it's mother it stays asleep longer. Other than that I am at a loss you have already took her into your bed and now that is a very difficult habbit to break if you say letting her cry does not work. At 16 months she will not understand why she has to sleep in her own bed so you can not reason with her and if you will not allow her to cry out and self soothe then I think you are stuck with it until your child is old enough to understand your room there room.
