HI Joanna, I have had twins 171/2mths ago and I had this problem with my daughter. We where giving the advise from my Midwifes to place her in her cot with her favourite teddy bear and let her cry. After five minutes if she continued to cry I went in and told her that she was ok and kissed her good night again. Since then she has slept 12 hours a night. I don't know if you have tried control crying but it does work. The other thing to do is place a radio in her room and place some comfort music on at the time she go to bed. Liza

I love the slow change. You put her in bed and sit by the bed. She can still see, hear and touch you. Sit there until she falls asleep (usually it will take about half an hour). After 3 days of that, move your chair across the room. She can still see and hear you but will get used to not touching you. Do that for 3 days then move right outside the door - she will still hear you. After 3 days of that she should be ok. It worked for my little guy, hopefully it will work for you! Good luck - I know how hard this is and how tiring!
